The lace gallery itself was redisplayed in 1995 and includes a
selection of English and Continental bobbin and needle laces dating from the 17th century to
the 20th. There are also some bobbins, drafts and prickings on show and a small temporary
display of modern work.
The reserve collections can be consulted only by prior appointment. It is possible to
accommodate visiting groups but again only with advance warning. The study collections are not
normally available at weekends.
